In this course, we explain the provisions of the Labour Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued in 1426, the successive amendments thereof and the provisions related thereto, by discussing the general features of the labour law, the characteristics of the labour law, the categories governed thereby, and the categories excluded from submission thereto. We also discuss the nature of the employment contract and its parties, its characteristics and distinguishing it from other contracts. Then, we discuss the conclusion of the employment contract and the provisions and controls related to its conclusion in terms of its elements, conditions, invalidities, and how to prove it. Then, we introduce the effects of the employment contract, the obligations that it entails for both the employee and the employer, and the rights and privileges it grants to both of them. Finally, we discuss how the employment contract terminates, and the reasons for its termination, whether the contract is definite or indefinite. We also will introduce the effects of termination of the employment contract, whether it is legal or illegal.
